Remember when I said that Curls en Route was all about combining my three favorite things; traveling, writing, and my camera? Well, this gallery is dedicated to my travel photography and my photos on the road.

My Journey With Travel Photography
From a very young age and I’ve had a thing for cameras. I was always that friend in the group that was so cool she had a camera and always took the gang’s pictures. I even have a collection of vintage cameras! When I turned 17, I got my first DSLR camera; it was a birthday gift, and it took off from there.
I kept on self-learning, but when I took a photography course at university, it helped me improve a lot. To be quite frank, I don’t really call myself a professional photographer, but rather a photography lover. Also in university, I fell in love with filmmaking, and that’s when I started calling myself a visual storyteller. Apart from Curls en Route, I like taking pictures or footage that tell stories, and I sometimes even like to caption them with my own poetry.
More Photos, Less Rambling
To cut a long story short, I take pride in the photos I take, especially when traveling because they tell stories I’ve lived and made me who I am. So, if you’d like to see more of my travel photography on a regular basis, along with travel photos of yours truly on the road, as well as some behind-the-scenes action, just follow me on Instagram.
What Do I Shoot With?
I don’t really have some badass, expensive camera gear. But with proper lighting, some camera tricks, good editing, and understanding of my equipment, I manage to bring out some decent results.
DSLR Cameras and Lenses:
- My main equipment: Canon 600D (18-55mm, 50mm, 75-300mm lenses)
- Some of my photos are shot with: Canon 70D and Canon 80D (24-70mm lens)
Mobile Photography: I’ve changed my phone several times throughout the years, but currently, I’m using OPPO F11– and I LOVE its camera.
Action Camera: GoPro Hero5 Black and ALL ITS ACCESSORIES
Editing Software: Adobe Lightroom and VSCO
