Those who went to Bali left a piece of their heart on the island (just like I did) and those who didn’t are surely missing a lot. So, if you’re missing the Indonesian heaven on earth or if you want to go so bad but you’re still putting international travel on hold, there are several Bali experiences that you can easily recreate at home. If you can’t go to Bali, let’s bring Bali to you!
5 Bali Experiences You Can Easily Relive
Do some yoga and guided meditation
Going to a yoga studio is one of the top Bali experiences and one of the best things to do in Ubud. Put together a meditating corner at home and with some scented candles, essential oils, and relaxing music, you’ll be teleported in a matter of minutes once you close your eyes. You can try guided meditation and yoga for beginners on YouTube.
Make your own flower bath
A relaxation day isn’t complete without a proper Balinese spa experience. And what’s better than flower power to have that? Buy some of your favorite flowers from any local flower shop, separate the petals from the stems, and draw your bath. But wait, that’s not all, there’s a special way to do it.
The trick is that you need to draw your bath with warm water, but top it with a layer of cold water so that the petals wouldn’t sink. You can add any preferred essential oil or Epsom salt for a more spa-like flower bath, and voilà! If you have a fancy-schmancy tub, why not get a picture for the gram as well as you nail one of the coolest Bali experiences at home?
Splurge on some tropical fruits
Tropical fruits are a must-have when in Bali. So, head to your nearest gourmet grocery store and splurge on some dragon fruit, coconuts, and whatever’s exotic that you come across. Then go home and make yourself a delicious fruit bowl.
Make your own smoothie bowl
On your tropical fruits quest, shop for a few other ingredients to make a smoothie bowl. One of the best things to do in Seminyak and Canggu is to go to vegan café and indulge in one of those heavenly, mouthwatering smoothie bowls.

Adopt a hati hati lifestyle
Have you ever heard the term hati hati? Well, the Balinese saying is one of the cultural expressions that’ll definitely change the way you see life. At least it was life-changing for me.
Hati is the Indonesian word for “heart”, while Hati Hati means “watch your heart”. This saying is often used in situations where you’d be telling someone to be careful; however, it has a much deeper meaning. Telling someone “hati hati” in Bali is more of a beautiful reminder to take it easy. So, whenever you’re feeling stressed, facing a challenge, or feeling anxious, it’s always a good idea to remind yourself to watch your heart and take it easy!
Given that I’m a perfectionist, I found this beautiful saying to be more of a positive affirmation that really helped my soul. That’s why I created this design, printed it out, framed it, and put it where I can see it every day as a reminder to slow down. If you want to also hang it in on your wall, click here to save a free high-resolution printable.
Try recreating these amazing Bali experiences at home and let me know in the comments how it turns out!
