The Ultimate Bali Packing List for Summer

Summer’s officially here and you’re all probably planning your upcoming trip. Without any doubt, a beach destination is the obvious, yet perfect, choice, and where better than Bali could you resort to? If you happen to be paying the tropical island a visit, then the weather is one thing you should really bear in mind. If you happen to be going there this summer, then here’s the ultimate Bali packing list.

Lucky for you, the weather during that time is great. However, since Southeast Asia has its very own unique climate, expect humidity and summer rain. Generally, the dry season is starting May all the way to September. As for the wet season; that you should avoid, is from October to April.

The Ultimate Bali Packing List

A packing list’s criteria differ from one traveler to another. I mean, those who travel with luggage aren’t like those who travel with just a backpack. Men aren’t like women, and so forth. That’s why I’ll break the list into the basics section; which I won’t delve into but will rather give you an idea of the type of clothing you might need, and the essentials.

The Basics

  • Shorts
  • Tank tops
  • Swimsuit(s)
  • Dress/skirt
  • Sandals
  • Flip flops
  • Running shoes (if you’re hiking)
  • Yoga pants/sweat pants (if you’re hiking)
  • Underwear and socks (obviously)
  • Light jacket/hoodie

The Essentials

  • Sarong or harem pants (you must cover your legs in temples)
  • Waterproof jacket/rain poncho
  • Fanny pack (the safest way to carry your belongings on a scooter)
  • Money belt (optional if you won’t carry a fanny pack)
  • Sunscreen
  • Mosquito repellant
