Being the chocoholic that I am, stumbling upon a chocolate museum anywhere in the world would be a dream come true. I still remember when I came across Choco Story, a chocolate museum in Prague, back when I went with my friends. They were going for the Wax Museum of Legends but I ditched them for a sugar rush next door.
Choco Story, that’s been standing since 2008, consists of a chocolate museum, as well as a chocolatier that sells myriad of heavenly creations. I remember buying truffles that were out of this world!
This chocolate museum in Prague offers an extremely interesting tour that takes you back to the Aztec civilization, telling you all about the history of chocolate and cacao. Not just that, but you also get to learn about cacao’s health benefits and even get to witness how Belgian praline and chocolate are made first hand!
During the tour, you’ll also get to see a wide collection of ads and packaging of the finest chocolate brands throughout history. I remember seeing Corona, a classic Egyptian brand, among those and it just made me so proud!
The cherry on top of this sweet experience is that you could get the chance to make your own chocolate by attending a workshop there. Travelers would definitely love such a stop to break the sightseeing routine and try something new.
The place is super close to the Old Town square and is open daily from 9:30 AM to 7 PM. Admission fees cost 390 Kč and 340 Kč for students. You can buy online tickets here.
